The last week of April already?!
We have 2 days of MCA testing this week.
Tuesday, April 26th 8:15-9:15 MCA Math Session #2
Wednesday, April 27th 10:15-11:15 MCA Math Session #3
We will have a spelling test this Friday as well.
This Friday, Annie Huseby will be coming in to talk with students about Law Day, which is May 1st.
All this week is the Scholastic 'Half off Book Fair.' Try to stop in and check out all the awesome stuff!!
We are wrapping up the Thirteen Original Colonies and will soon be covering the American Revolution in Social Studies.

We finished our Reading MCA's! Boy, was I impressed with the initial results! I am so proud of the kids! We have our first round of our Math MCA's starting Thursday, April 21st at 12:45-1:45. We will have our other 2 Math sessions next week.
Next week the "Half off Book Fair" will be here! Make sure to check it out! It is one of my favorite events of the year!
So far, our class has the most 5th graders signed up for the Color Blast for the last day of school! Woohoo! More sheets went home last week, so if you and/or your child are interested, get those slips turned in!

I am looking out the window as I am typing this... boy is it depressing as the snow is falling and the wind blowing!?! I am so ready for SPRING!
Tuesday, we start our MCA testing. Here is the testing schedule for this week:

Wednesday, April 13 12:45-1:45 Reading Session #2
Thursday, April 14 10:15-11:15 Reading Session #3
Please make sure your child has a good night of sleep and a great breakfast to help them be successful on their tests. This can be a stressful time for the kiddos, but just encourage them to do their best!
On a different note-- more COLOR BLAST permission slips were sent home last week. Which ever class has the most students signed up will get a PIZZA PARTY!! Also, in each grade level, the class with the most students signed up will get a POPCORN PARTY! I am planning on running with the kiddos and encourage them to run with us to celebrate the last day of school! Contact me with any questions or concerns and I will do my best to answer or direct it to the right person.

Boy, am I glad April Fool's Day is over! So many pranks!
This is the last week of the 3rd Quarter... How is it possible that we are already 3/4 of the way done with this school year!?!
