Dear Parents:
I was happy to meet many of you at Orientation last week. I can’t believe school has already started, but I was ready to come back. I thought I would send out a letter to you to give you a heads-up on what to expect this year with your child in my classroom.
I plan to use a free phone App to communicate called Remind. It will be used to send mass reminders to parents of important events happening in the classroom, tests, quizzes and homework assignments.  I will send messages through this app and you will receive the message as a text. You will be able to send messages to me through this medium as well. The information is only viewed by me and no phone numbers are shared in this process. This is something new that I am trying out and I would like your feedback.

You will then be asked to message your first and last name and asks you to respond if you are a student, parent or teacher. Finally, it will send you a link to install the app. You have the option of opted out of this at any time. If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me.
